Heather + Scott Kenning
Heather & Scott have always dreamt of owning their own business. Over the last few years, they decided to get serious about what they would like to call their own. With their love to throw a good party, Scott’s customer service/management background, and Heather’s background as a Cosmetologist. They knew a wedding & event space would be a perfect fit for them. During Heather’s time as a Hair Stylist, she would assist her sister during weddings to provide hair and makeup services. During each of those events she always wondered what was going on with the venue. When it came time for a career change, she knew now was the time to find a space to call their own. With Scott’s support, they began to look throughout Minnesota for the perfect space. Somewhere that couples, families, and communities could gather to celebrate their wedding, private event, or where the community could come together for some fun. Their search led them to St. Peter and The Capitol Room. They fell in love with the timeless look of the space and knew it felt like “The One”. Fast Forward to November 2025 and they are now the proud owners of The Capitol Room. With Heathers background in Cosmetology, surrounding weddings and events, and Scott’s customer service/management background they are ready to continue to offer a unique wedding and event space in the area.
Scott & Heather have been a together since 2010 and have two children Roman & Roxanne who are their whole world! They love to spend time with their families, having game nights, and host events for any occasion. When they are not working, spending time with their families, or hosting events. They love to travel and explore new spaces as well as revisit The Most Magical Place on Earth - Disney World. They are excited to be part of weddings and events and be part of the St. Peter Community.

Megan is our general manager and the head of our Events Planning and Coordination. Beginning her career in 2013 working as a photographer for Daniel Dinsmore Photography, she has seen it all. Megan has been a integral part of our team since 2017 and will ensure your wedding day runs as smooth as possible. Looking for wedding planning and coordination, she is your girl.
